A short account of what is processed when you visit this site.

Privacy policy for this site · Effective November 3, 2026

At a glance

  • No ads and no cookies for now.
  • We may add Google ads later. Before we do, we will update this policy and announce it in advance.
  • No sign-up, no login and no forms.
  • Only two values, such as the language you chose, are stored in your browser, and they are never sent to a server.
  • Visits are counted with Cloudflare’s visitor statistics, and we only see totals.
  • Information inside each app and game is covered by that app’s or game’s own policy.

Appcellent (“Appcellent”, “we”) runs the website appcellent.dev (the “site”). This policy explains what information is processed when you view the site.

The site has no sign-up, no login and no forms. We do not receive your name, e-mail address, phone number or similar information through the site.

This policy was written in Korean and translated into English. If the two differ, the Korean version applies.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the pages of the site, such as the home page, the app pages, the mini game list (/games/) and the About page. Information processed inside each app and game is covered by that app’s or game’s own policy. The policies on this site are:

Other sites linked from this site (Google Play, the App Store, makta.net, KakaoTalk open chats and so on) are covered by their own policies.

2. Ads and cookies (today)

The site shows no ads and uses no cookies today.

The home page has a Google AdSense meta tag that confirms who owns the site, and the site has an ads.txt file that names who may sell its ads. Neither runs a script or sets a cookie.

3. Ads (in the future)

We may show Google AdSense ads on the site or its mini games later. If we do:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites.
  • You can opt out of personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings, and out of other vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • See how Google uses this information.
  • Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent first.

Before ads start, we will add the ad companies and a new effective date to this policy and announce the change in advance.

4. Values stored in your browser

The site stores only these two values in your browser’s storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to a server.

  • appcellent.lang (localStorage): the language you chose with the language button or the language bar (ko, en or ja). When you next open a Korean address, it takes you straight to the page in that language. It stays until you delete it.
  • hero-seen (sessionStorage): a mark so that the intro animation on the home page plays only once per tab. It is removed when you close the tab.

You can delete this site’s data or block storage in your browser settings. The site still works; it just won’t remember your language, and the home page animation will play every time.

5. Connection data processed automatically

  • Delivering the site (Cloudflare): the site is delivered through Cloudflare. As with any internet connection, Cloudflare processes request data such as your IP address, browser information and the address you requested, in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We can see a sample of these request records in our Cloudflare account and look at them only to deal with outages and attacks. The site has no server program or database that stores visitor information.
  • Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics): when you open a page in a browser, Cloudflare automatically adds its statistics script (static.cloudflareinsights.com) to the page. The script sends Cloudflare the page address, where you came from (referrer), your browser, operating system and device type, and how long the page took to load; Cloudflare counts these together with the country it infers from your IP address. We only see totals, such as visits per page. According to Cloudflare, these statistics use no cookies or browser storage. You can block the script with your browser’s tracking protection or a content blocker; the site works the same either way.
  • App version numbers (Supabase): to show the latest version number, the home page and the Codex Image Generator page ask a Supabase server for it from your browser. The request contains nothing that identifies you, but as with any connection, your IP address and browser information reach Supabase.
  • Videos and installers (Cloudflare R2): app promo videos (on the Korean pages) and their poster images, and the Codex Image Generator installers, are loaded from Cloudflare’s file storage (R2).

6. Companies that process information

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): delivering the site, blocking attacks, visitor statistics, storing videos and installers
  • Supabase, Inc. (USA): providing app version numbers

We do not sell or pass on information processed on the site to other companies, except where the law requires us to disclose it.
